Learning through video conference is one of the effective real-time communication methods in the teaching and learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to represent the interests and expectations of students in the era of the covid-19 pandemic related to video conference recognition. This research is categorized as quasi-quantitative with Questioner and open question as an instrument. Participants are students of Surabaya City Junior High School using purposive sampling. Quasi-quantitative data analysis uses Microsoft Excel for quantitative data and NVivo software for qualitative data. The study results showed that positive response preferences to video conferences were very helpful to them in online learning and developing student intercession. In the aspect of learning expectations related to the dominant student video conference is the ability to explain; opportunity to discuss; sound quality; signal quality; and practice activities. This study concludes that video conference is beneficial for them in online learning and develops student interest with. The dominant aspect in a row is explaining, an opportunity for discussion, sound quality, signal quality, and practice activities.
